Well we just celebrated the "love" holiday<3! I know a lot of people are anti Valentines Day but I think it is a great day:)! Since it fell on a Monday this year and I had the day off I got to go enjoy Brady's V-day party that he had at his daycare. In January we switched Brady from a daycare center to a home, who Pam is the daycare lady and is wonderful! She was referred to us by a co-worker of mine who brought both of her boys there and they loved it:)! I was always a little hesitant in bringing Brady to a home daycare if I didn't know someone who brought their kids there...so this worked out perfect! And she lives only a block away!! Anyways...Brady and I made some V-day bags for all his friends. Since there are 2 one year olds, 2 two year olds, and 2 three year olds, I made the bags age specific with books and toys and instead of candy they all got 100% fruit snacks:) Being a hygienist I still try and keep the 'teeth' in mind:) hehehe:) The kids loved it and it was fun to spend the afternoon with them and Brady:)! Although Brady made it very clear that I was "his" Mommy and didn't really let any of the kids come hug me;) The one time I did pay attention to the other kids he let me know that he wasn't to thrilled...hence the picture below;)!
Well since this is a holiday about LOVE~I suppose I will talk about my #1 love...my hubby:)! We celebrated V-day with a lovely grilled steak dinner, grilled asparagus, mashed potatoes and sauteed mushrooms:) Followed by some brownies I baked...and I am not much of a 'baker' so Kris was really excited:)! We had a nice romantic dinner at home...but with a 15 month old the "calmness" of the atmosphere lasted a whole 5 minutes and then it was back to chaos with Brady screaming and wanting to get out of his highchair:) But I really wouldn't have had it any other way:)! Since Kris and I didn't get any pictures of just us I put our first picture we got taken together above:) It was taken almost 7 years ago! It is so hard to believe that we have been together that long because honestly it sill feels so 'new' some days! I guess that is a good thing:) But I will say my love for Kris grows and grows each new day:)! He is a wonderful husband, father, and friend and I thank God everyday for putting him in my life:) He makes me want to try and be a better person and is my #1 'cheerleader' and for that I am thankful!:) He is a perfect role model for our son and I know Brady will learn a lot from him:)! In Church they had a lesson about our priorities after becoming parents and how you should have God as your #1, your spouse as your #2, kids #3, and your extended family as #4. This is hard for a lot of people to follow, including myself. Some people forget about God all together or put him on the back burner or they put their kids before their spouse. But I can honestly say Kris is a man that follows this lesson and always has God as his #1 and that is one of the things that I admire the most about him:) And it was a huge plus for me when we first started dating:)! He reads the bible daily, we try and visit God in his home most Sundays, and he always comes home and gives me a hug and kiss first and then scoops up his 'little buddy' and showers him with kisses:) He is just a wonderful person and I just get teary eyed thinking about how much I love him:)! Don't get me wrong...we have our moments...as every couple should. Arguments are healthy for a relationship, and he does get a little over board on his 'cleanliness' and sometimes I feel like I am living with a clean Nazi...but then I think...hey it's better then living with a slob:) Right!?! Anyways...this is getting way longer then I had originally planned so I am signing off:)! I will post another baby #2 update soon:) We find the sex out in 2 1/2 weeks!! I can't wait!!!! Hugs and Kisses and hope everyone had a wonderful Valentines Day~ Jamie
ps: below are some pictures of Brady at his daycare Valentines day party and with his V-day dog that Gamma June and Grandpa Vy got him! it talks and He just loves it!!:) Thanks Gamma and Grandpa:)!
