Saturday morning was Kris' birthday and our little guy woke us up at 7:15 (which was 30 minutes later then he usually gets up)! I told Kris to sleep in and I will get up with him but Kris can't usually sleep past 7AM so we all got up and I made some blueberry muffins...which fresh out of the oven were SO GOOD! After breakfast we went to the Children's Science Museum. We like to get there right when it opens before it starts getting to busy and Brady had a wonderful time:) After we left there we went to Moe's Burgers and got some lunch. Then it was nap time for Brady while I got to finish my book, 'Heaven is For Real' (great book...highly recommend it!) and Kris got to play some Xbox:) I then made Kris his birthday brownies:) He said he didn't want a cake and thought brownies sounded better:) I am not much of a Betty Crocker, but they turned out pretty darn good:)! Then it was much of the same...dinner, playtime, bath, book, and bed for Brady. Kris and I then watched 'The Kings Speech'! It was good and it has been a REALLY long time since Kris and I watched 2 movies..2 nights in a row!! Sadly because Brady goes down at 8:30pm and since I have been pregnant it is hard for me to stay awake past 9pm:( But I had some extra energy this weekend:) Anyways...then Easter Sunday came and we went to a beautiful Church service at Shepherd of the Lake with our friends Scott and Courtney and their 2 little girls:) After Church Brady and I took a nap and after that we headed to my parents for dinner:)! Brady got spoiled by the Easter Bunny (aka Grandma/Grandpa and Auntie). Little girl Shaban even had her own Easter basket with some gifts:)! Brady got lots of new books, a little hot rod bike, toy golf set, and a stuffed puppy which turns into a sleeping bag:) He got some candy but he doesn't really have a 'sweet tooth'...although we did have ice cream cake for Kris' birthday and he was LOVING that!!
All in all it was a great fun filled family weekend and I am just so grateful to have my boys and my family in my life:) I don't know what I did in my life to have so many blessings from the good Lord above but I am truly grateful and thank Him everyday:)
Below are some pics from the weekend~ Hope everyone had a Wonderful Easter~ xoxo, Jamie
